Carolyn
Zaroff is a California nature
painter whose work reflects her
passion for color and interest in
contrasting forms and textures in
landscape and in the sea.
Her home studio is in Sausalito
where she paints full-time. In
recent years she has been enchanted
by the bold colors found in the
vineyards of Northern California in
every season,.
She has also painted frequently in
Kauai during winter visits. In 2007
she began a series of land paintings
there which show her growing concern
about the ever-increasing
development of the Island.
She has been selected to receive an
Artist at Work grant from the
Bootstrap Foundation of Palo Alto.
Her work is included in the book,
“Art of Northern California,” and is
enjoyed in private collections on
both coasts and in Kauai.
In California she is represented by
the Plaza Arts Center in
Healdsburg, Art People in San
Francisco and the San Francisco
Women's Art Gallery. In Kauai
she is represented by the Shaning
Cierras Gallery in Hanapepe.
